IPE Presents Louisiana Spanish at Northwestern State University’s Watson Library

  • Cammie G. Henry Research Center, Eugene P. Watson Memorial Library 911 University Parkway Natchitoches, Louisiana, 71497 United States (map)

IPE is taking Louisiana Spanish on the road! We’ll be in in Natchitoches on September 12th and 13th to highlight our extensive collection of recordings documenting Louisiana Spanish traditions – including the dialect of Adaeseño or Sabine River Spanish – and share our language revitalization resources based on these archival materials. We will present these at the 18th Annual Louisiana Studies Conference hosted by NSU Folklife and in a free public outreach event at Northwestern State University’s Watson Library on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00 PM.
